Date and platforms

One date, one operating system, thirteen interface languages.

The launch announcement puts the release on September 28 in the morning, Pacific Time. The store page lists Windows 10 64-bit as the only platform, so there is no console or handheld version to wait for. No full audio is provided in any language; the thirteen interface and subtitle languages include English and both Chinese variants.

First Day Games develops it, with Gamersky Games among the publishers.

What the store page lists

  • Steam Achievements Listed as a feature of the release.
  • Steam Cloud Listed as a feature, next to an online mode that already keeps save data on a server.
  • Steam Leaderboards Listed as a feature, and the demo already ranks clear times publicly.
  • Single-player Listed as single-player; the store copy describes no co-op or versus mode.
  • Family Sharing Listed as a feature, alongside a third-party licence the store page requires agreement to.

What it is built on

Five pillars, named by the official copy: the desktop window, capturing enemies, town building, the Steam Market, and the mythic realms.

The official description of the loop is a description of planning: plan a route once, and the hero clears dungeons, kills monsters, picks up loot and levels on its own while gold, materials, experience and rare drops accumulate. What the player decides is the route, the gear and what to sell.

  • Desktop idle play

The game is a slim window pinned along the bottom of the desktop, layered over your work rather than replacing it. An official patch even fixes the borderless, transparent mode that lets the strip sit there without a window frame.

  • Capturing enemies

Any enemy can be captured, bosses included. The official rule: killing a boss can drop a rein, and the rein unlocks that boss as a servant who pulls the loot wagon and adds a passive buff or an active ability.

  • Town building

Wealth goes back into the main cities. Official copy names the unlocks in order: the blacksmith, the alchemy merchant, the mystery merchant and eventually an auction house, each opening a new growth path.

  • Steam Market trading

Valuable equipment, materials and minions can be traded with other players on the Steam Market at player-set prices, and the game’s own hub carries a trading subforum.

  • Mythic realms

The endgame is a challenge mode of timed trials and escalating tiers, with better rewards the deeper you go.

There is no campaign to finish. The official copy closes by asking whether you will push a deeper realm, re-farm better gear or research stronger skill combinations to beat a legendary ultimate boss, and states that the journey to the end is endless. The demo still has a discrete final boss, which ends the demo’s content and nothing else.

Editions and pricing

Nothing official has been published.

No official edition or pricing information has been published. The store page and the announcement feed in the record say nothing about editions, a base-game price, a deluxe upgrade or a monetisation model, and the price question players asked in both languages went unanswered in the thread where it was asked.

Pending verification

This page prints no price and names no edition, because there is nothing official to print. It also does not guess at a model from the market features the game lists.

Carrying the demo over

Officially unanswered.

No official text in the record states whether demo progress carries into the release. Players ask it in several threads, and in the one read in full the developer did not answer it; the player statements about demo characters being deleted are on the demo page, marked as reports rather than as fact.

The demo page

What kind of game it is

An idle ARPG that lives in a window along the bottom of your desktop.

The official description, the store page and every gameplay source agree on the shape: an idle ARPG whose window sits on the desktop while you work. Combat resolves without input, the decisions are the route, the gear, the talents and the carriage filters, and nothing in it is commanded tactically or turn by turn. Third-party genre labels for the game have not matched that description, and this site follows the official one rather than repeating another label.
